With deep roots in Phillips' heavy civil capabilities, we’re purposefully built to excel in complex power environments. We’re the team clients trust, with the proven expertise and resources needed to deliver every time.
Our Sweet Spot
Where civil construction meets power infrastructure, that’s our sweet spot. We excel at power projects others avoid: transmission right-of-ways through challenging terrain, site preparation on aggressive timelines, and mission-critical infrastructure with firm deadlines. Difficult ground doesn't slow us down—it's where we do our best work. Before a single tower goes up or switch is thrown, we make sure power delivery projects start on a stable foundation.
We anchor the ground game that makes power infrastructure possible. We clear the right-of-way, build the access roads and matting, and lay the foundations that make a project buildable in the first place.
Getting to the hardest places on the line.
We clear the right-of-way, build access roads and matting across wetlands and unstable ground, and set foundations where conditions fight back. We work direct for utilities and as the civil subcontractor to T-line primes, built for the hardest part of the job.
Hardening infrastructure for what’s ahead.
We build the deep foundations that let transmission structures stand against hurricane-force winds, engineered for extreme wind loads on some of the most exposed corridors in the country. At substations, we build the physical security perimeter, including fencing, barriers, gates, and access control foundations, along with the spill prevention and containment systems that keep transformer oil out of soil and groundwater. Different threats, same answer: it starts in the ground, and we self-perform it.
Building the ground substations stand on.
Substation sites start as raw ground. We clear and grade, build the access, and self-perform the foundations, ductbank, and containment that everything else gets set on. When the civil package is right, the equipment goes in on schedule.
Why work with us
We deliver what others can’t—genuine self-performance and civil-first expertise—all backed by a legacy of execution that drives tangible results when it matters most. For 70 years, we've been mastering the sites critical infrastructure is built on. That’s not just an advantage—it’s a power shift.
Civil delays are power infrastructure's silent killer. Site conditions, access issues, and schedule slippage on the ground stall everything downstream, and your project timeline can't absorb it.
Our self-performed civil capabilities eliminate the coordination gaps that plague the site-prep phase. This means better scheduling certainty, competitive pricing without markups, and a solid foundation delivered on time, every time. No finger-pointing, no handoff delays on the civil scope, just one team that delivers, period.
The ground game makes or breaks power projects. With rising civil costs and expanding regulatory requirements, traditional electrical contractors find themselves at the mercy of site conditions they don’t fully understand—turning your foundation work into a budget-eating gamble.
We developed our expertise across all critical aspects of power, starting from the ground up. Our civil-first approach gives us deep expertise in soil conditions, site development, and environmental compliance—giving us certainty where others face challenges. When others hit the dirt and stop cold, we’re just getting warmed up.
Power projects demand both specialized expertise and absolute reliability. As a Phillips company, we deliver both.
We combine the agility of a specialized power contractor with the financial strength and sophisticated project controls of Phillips. Our 70+ year legacy brings the confidence that comes with working with an established partner. When you work with Phillips Power, you get the backing of a proven infrastructure leader with the focus of a power specialist—bringing certainty to your most critical systems when failure is not an option.
